Mark 'Jacko' Jackson's 1985 Footy Logo

August 21, 2015
Mark Jacko Jackson

In the 1980s Michael Jordan took athlete marketing to new heights with his iconic Jumpman logo. Slightly less well known is VFL footballer Mark Jackson's 1985 'Jacko' logo, based on his spinning-footy-on-a-finger schtick.

A one-man marketing machine, Jacko went on to don the Energizer tights and become the worldwide ambassador of all things alkaline. It probably made him one of the most globally recognised Australian athletes of the 80s. Oi.
