In 1973 famed sports painter LeRoy Neiman wrote for Playboy about his years painting the Super Bowl from the sidelines, including a stint as the Jets’ artist in residence during the famous boilover against Baltimore. Despite some lurking sexism the article is a fascinating portrait of pro football’s biggest day by one of its signature artists.
