Love the stark simplicity of this old Footy Record Brownlow cover. Today it would be a flossy Photoshop montage. Which isn’t a bad thing. All design styles have their place, and contemporary digital art can create stunning visual drama. But I have a soft spot for modern art and the way it boils everything down to the basics of colour and shape. More of it please. Pic via gold*n*pawn on eBay.
